In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
