Cars in Germany's Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Authorities stated they were contacted by a man who discovered a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 cars have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then located many other smeared cars and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Police say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was probably human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its source; investigators are not yet informed of any physical harm in association with the incident," they commented.

City officials stated they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the residents for information.

A senior official said the attack made him stunned and required to be solved quickly.

"This event strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right violent incident five years ago," he stated on online, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a shooter targeting residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
