19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a torrid period, winning just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in specific - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies he has achieved twenty-one victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my children at once, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serve.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial opportunities in a competitive third set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
